3 Reasons Why We Strongly Support The FWC are fishing, bird watching, and wildlife. Florida Roofing and Renovations is a supporter of the WFC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation) Florida is a coastal state, with the majority of its area being shoreline. People from all over the country come to Florida to enjoy everything from our beautiful weather and beaches to our abundant wildlife. They come to enjoy birdwatching, surfing, beaches, parks, fishing, and even watching rocket launches. The great state of Florida offers so much that the list is almost endless.
As citizens of Florida, we all have a responsibility to protect and conserve our state’s treasured attributes. We are fortunate to live in a state that has so many things to do. As a leading roof and general contractor on Florida’s Space Coast for over 30 years, we strongly support the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation. For instance, Ospreys are the primary birds known to nest on utility, communication, and telephone poles. The FWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) and utility companies sometimes install artificial nesting platforms to encourage birds to nest safely away from electrical equipment.
In addition, along our shores, there are birds that nest on rooftops. These shorebirds, known to nest on rooftops in Florida, include least terns, black skimmers, American oystercatchers, and roseate terns, all of which are state and federally protected species. As a roofing contractor, Florida Roofing and Renovations has access to roofs where birds may nest. We take great care to follow the FWC guidelines concerning possible rooftop nests.
