Our field is rapidly becoming one where fewer people possess the knowledge or experience to provide quality service. The primary reason renovations necessitate experience is the numerous variables involved in remodeling today. The construction industry has been losing capable and qualified individuals for years, and only a few, if any, are entering the remodeling sector to gain experience. Consequently, homeowners are left attempting to renovate their homes with a smaller pool of experienced contractors.

I, Michael Smith, am the owner of Florida Roofing and Renovations Inc. My experience in the roofing and construction field allows me to confidently assure homeowners that we can handle any home roofing or remodeling project they may have. I began working for local contractors back in the 1980s. With crews of 30 or more, I regularly poured concrete, framed houses, and installed roofing with soffit and fascia.

Additionally, I completed numerous remodel projects for homeowners directly. We utilized materials and installation procedures that the industry believed would withstand the test of time. Some did, but others were short-term, especially in Florida’s extreme weather conditions.

We recently had our lanai ceiling repaired including the removal of cracked and spalling concrete. The repairs included the addition of new rebar and a poured concrete and stucco application. Rich and his crew were very professional in performing these repairs. I would highly recommend them for performing any concrete repairs to anyone requiring this type of work.

Almost rebuilt the house, took care of bad wood, installed new siding, fascia and soffit. Replaced two sets of French Doors. Great attention to detail..the house had a fussy front and the fish scale/scallop accents look great. Very happy and the house feels way more solid now.

Our Florida room needed its original walls replaced, its foundation height increased and its windows and exit door replaced, all while keeping its newer roof. Michael came over to scope out the proposed project. He was friendly, patient, and a good listener. Two other companies had visited and were unwilling to do the project unless we tore off the new roof. Another company gave an estimate without even visiting. We came to a figure with services we wanted. I called his referrals and ALL of them returned my calls. They were quite pleased with their projects. Michael's team was very neat, polite, thorough, and good natured. Now that the project is complete, I miss seeing the team! Additionally, Michael is a great communicator via phone, text, and email. I highly recommend Florida Roofing and Renovations and when I need to replace my roof, I will be hiring him to do that.

Working with Mike and his team was an excellent experience. The quality of their work exceeded our expectations, and every member of the crew was professional and respectful of our home and family. Over the years many of us have learned to just accept mediocre business relationships. Not the case with Michael Smith, owner, Florida Roofing and Renovations. He and his crew get high marks for going above and beyond to do the job right. A big shout-out to Rich, Mark, Angel and Julio. Super team! Our project is a mid-century modern design bungalow. Work content included a complicated structural wall and roof rebuild with architect involvement, replacement of our flat roof including a taper system adding pitch for water drainage, and new fascia and soffit work. We are extremely satisfied with the end product (especially the new roof) and highly recommend Michael Smith and his company. PS. It is our rainy season and we have had numerous downpours. Water runs off our home as though we have a 4/12 pitch. No more ponding!

Highly recommend this company. They were very professional and finished everything quickly. I had two small windows closed and they did the outside and inside. It looks fantastic. It's like the windows were never there. I am very grateful they were able to squeeze me in last minute. Will use this company again. (Also great customer service)

Florida, roofing and renovations Inc. did a reconstruction of my entire upstairs and downstairs porch.

Basically, the whole side of my house had to be rebuilt!
Mike, the owner has been around in this business for years and knew exactly what he was doing.

His workers are amazing, especially Rich Who was in charge of everything? Mark his assistant was outstanding also.
A shout out to Angel, who was here in the beginning of the project.

Very hard workers here from early morning till late afternoon. Very polite and courteous every single day.

The attention to detail at the end of the project was better than I’ve ever seen on any project I’ve ever had on my home.
I highly recommend this company for any kind of work.
