New Chimney Cover and Cap

The Florida Roofing and Renovations installed this roof on beachside including replacing the chimney cover and the cap.  We used a new white aluminum that will not rust on beachside. We check chimneys while replacing roof to ensure they are sound and safe. During roof replacement is the time to rebuild chimneys if it is needed. Chimney Terms

These are what to call items associated with chimney.

• Cover – This is the large retangle or square cover that goes on the top of chimney stack. It covers over the siding of the chimney. Like stucco or wood.
• Cap – The cap is the round object that sits on top of the pipe sticking out of the chimney.
• Vent – On the side of the chimney there is a small vent which allows for air to the fire box inside home.
