New Beautiful Tile Roof
A New Beautiful Tile Roof installed in the Legends of Suntree by Florida Roofing and Renovations. We were able to get the tile in 3 weeks for this home that the owner was putting on the market. Roof was completed start to finish in a little over two weeks.
The Tile
The manufacture was Crown Tile who offers roof tiles that have a wide variety of profiles that meet the demands of todays design requirements. Crown offers a range of High and Low profile barrel tiles complemented by three types of Windsor Flat roof tiles.
We installed Windsor Slate a flat roof tile with a smooth texture. The color was Sand Dollar. This tile was traditionally used in ancient European castles. It provides great texture and gives the appearance of movement on roofs.

Installing New Beautiful Tile Roof
Our procedure to install tile roof are a higher standard then many roof contractors. Once the roof is removed we ensure all wood decking ready for a new roof. By replacing any damaged wood from prior roof. We then install a self-adhered tile undwrlayment or TU. We do not use battens strips for the tile as they are of pressure treated wood and the heat from Florida’s sun will warp the strips under the tile and move the tile out of place. Plus most roofers never installed them sccording to specs. Which is to install the strips in modified adhesive with nails or screws.
We choose to install direct to deck with 160mph foam adhesive. Which is reminiscent of cement mud used years ago to lay the tile in. In addition to the foam we use screws to attached the tile.
Because tile roof replaced can be very dusty for driveways. We repainted the driveway and sidewalk free for giving us the roof project.
