New House Flat Roof

We are confidently installing a new flat roof on this house using the reliable and durable self-adhered roof system called Flintlastic by Certainteed. First, we expertly installed the base SA (self-adhered) and then applied the drip edge on top of the base. All the drip edges were meticulously primed with the recommended primer for flat roofs. Once the flat roof base foundation is ready, we apply the SA (self-adhered) cap sheet over the flat roof. This involves skillfully applying the cap sheet material up the pitch of the house roof under the shingles, covering a minimum of 16″ for a complete seal. Self-adhered products like Flintlastic have confidently replaced the traditional torch-down material on flat roofs. SA systems provide a better seal since they are fully adhered to the wood decking and hold up better in hurricanes.

The Flintlastic® SA self-adhered roof system includes the Flintlastic® SA PlyBase, a durable SBS-modified roofing membrane that is easy to install. This system is designed for low slopes and is typically used on wood substrates in residential and commercial settings. It provides the proven performance of traditional multi-layer modified bitumen roofing without fumes or flames and with significantly less labor.
